The Kakula Mine achieved commercial production in July 2021; phased expansion is projected to make Kamoa-Kakula the second-largest copper complex globally and Africa’s largest high-grade copper discovery.
A major upgrading program by an Ivanhoe-led joint venture is underway at the past-producing high-grade zinc-copper-silver-germanium mine.
